Overview
The Manufacturing Strategy and Systems Manager is a key role within the Dunkin' Manufacturing Team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations. They will work to develop and maintain the business systems, analytics, and tools needed to provide actionable data to improve the Central Donut Manufacturing Location (CML) system by containing costs, maximizing productivity, and promoting smart development planning. This role is based in analysis but is empowered to develop the real world actions, changes, and plans necessary to achieve the goals of improving the entire production system.
Day to Day Accountabilities
- Develop and manage CML Key Performance Indicators related to restaurant donut and bakery sales through the utilization of our Business Management System (BMS) data and retail POS.
- Use analytics for benchmarking initial CML results to measure both short- and long-term CML trends.
- Drive CML business growth by identifying gaps in the CML business related to COGS and presenting solutions to reduce identified gaps.
- Accountable for strategically managing and developing the manufacturing of donuts and bakery products across the Dunkin' system, assessing current business needs and future planning for strategic growth. The strategic planning focuses on sourcing, managing, operating, and securing facilities for the future with back casting into the current environment.
- Lead all contractual elements of the business pertaining to manufacturing, including but not limited to approved bakery agreements, third party services and contractor support.
- Demonstrate a passion for safety and quality of donuts and bakery products, including process assessment and continuous improvement.
- Act as brand liaison for all Business Management System (BMS) vendors.
- Lead and manage efficient and timely collaboration with cross-functional and field teams to create a positive environment regarding safety, quality, availability, creativity, process, and franchisee relationships as needed to support the business.
- Develop and support tools and systems to manage and communicate all financial data pertaining to donut production, including Standard Cost Data, Production data accuracy, and comparable sales data.
- Lead all reporting and analysis of manufacturing financial data and make recommendations to Ops Systems Leadership Team based on findings.
- Use experience, analysis tools, and market-based data to develop and modify product supply plans for all restaurants; support system growth plans by providing information and recommendations on available production platforms.
- Work with internal and external partners to identify potential business opportunities for Dunkin' Donuts' donut manufacturing vendors and franchisees; assist in quantifying opportunities and provide guidance for establishing partnerships and additional business and revenue.
- Provide direction and guidance in support of development, strategy, and financial analysis; manages Finance and Manufacturing data to provide detailed financial reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional employees to ensure safety, CML strategy, tactics, and execution are aligned with Brand objectives.
- Identify and research organizational needs with third-party partners to support the business in food safety and manufacturing environments; lead and manage the business relationship and expectations with those vendors throughout their life cycle.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting ideal.5+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing finance, financial analysis, business development, and related food safety expertise.Retail Foodservice within a franchisee environment (e.g., QSR franchised) a plus.Very strong computer skills, comfortable with data visualization and analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and other tools.Knowledge of database software; examples include Oracle Business Intelligence and Hyperion database.Key Competencies

Position is 75% office environment and 25% manufacturing and / or outdoor environment. Approximately 25% travel will be required to support the position's responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods in restaurant, manufacturing, and outdoor environments.
