Equal Employment Opportunity Analyst
San Bernardino County, Human Resources Department is seeking to fill an Equal Employment Opportunity Analyst vacancy. Duties will include responding to and investigating complaints of employment discrimination and harassment; conducting in-depth interviews, gathering and evaluating information, determining facts, preparing reports, and making recommendations; researching, interpreting, developing, and providing countywide presentations and trainings on relevant legislation, policies, and procedures; supporting the County's Equal Opportunity Commission; making presentations to new employees, other formal bodies, and the public.
The mission of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office is to oversee the County's adherence to a policy of equal opportunity for all in employment, training, promotion, retention, and benefits, consistent with federal and state regulations and Board Policy, to positively impact County employees' quality of work life and customer service provided to the general public.
Salary and benefits include full benefits and a competitive salary up to $113,942 annually. This position offers full benefits and a competitive salary up to $113,942 annually. Annual across the board salary increases in February 2026. The County also offers an alternative Modified Benefits Option that provides a wage differential of 4% above the base salary rate with modified benefits.
Conditions of employment include a pre-employment process that includes a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, credit check (if applicable), and / or medical exam, which may include drug and / or TB testing. Travel throughout the County is required. Employees may be required to make provision for transportation (mileage reimbursement is available at current IRS rates). A valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained for the individual providing the transportation. San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Science, Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Communications / Marketing or other relevant field. AND one (1) year of full time professional-level human resources or EEO experience that includes primary responsibility for responding to and investigating complaints of employment discrimination and harassment. Experience must include conducting in-depth interviews, gathering and evaluating information, determining facts, preparing reports, and making recommendations.
Desired qualifications include three (3) or more years of professional-level experience in equal employment opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a clear understanding of state and federal EEO laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with individuals from various cultural backgrounds and at all levels of the organization. Experience developing and providing training programs on EEO laws and workplace diversity.
