Safeguard Officer

The Safeguard Officer is responsible for ensuring all duties and responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the "TSS Crew Safeguard Policy and Procedures."

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Deliver excellent customer service always, with all clients, terminal employees, vendors, and ship's crew members, as prescribed in training guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Proper safe-keeping and storage of all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) materials.
• Ensure all escorts of safeguarded crew members are done in a professional, respectful, and companionate manner at all times.
• Ability to safeguard crew members at all times through the entire safeguard process and ensuring their safe arrival to their destination.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping of security officer hours and time-off using payroll software.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels in accordance with client requirements.
• Ensure all personnel are given required and requested breaks.
• Write and maintain reports of daily activities and irregularities, or unusual occurrences.
• Ensure all required reports are executed in a timely manner, when necessary.
• Ensure accurate vehicle inspection, maintenance and mileage logs are completed when operating any company vehicle.
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of the company "Controlled Substances and Alcohol Testing Certification Program."
• Able to work under pressure for eight (8) to 12 hours on a daily basis while ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members under their care.
