Neuro Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Madison, Wisconsin (53715) Healthcare Facility : Neuroscience Center (7SW) Unit Type : Neuro Telemetry, Stepdown / PCU Contract Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 - End : 3 / 9 / 2026) Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Orientation : 72 hours Scrub Color : Navy Blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, or PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown experience Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Proficiency with Epic charting system Previous travel nursing experience Trauma Level II experience preferred Charge nurse experience preferred COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to pass OSHA Respirator Clearance and FIT testing (must be clean shaven) Local candidates (within 70 miles) not accepted Neuro Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with stroke, neurosurgery, trauma, and general med / surg needs Monitor and manage telemetry and neuro stepdown patients Assist with procedures including lumbar drains, stroke education, and NIHSS assessments Administer medications and manage IVs, central lines, chest tubes, and feeding tubes Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, etc.) Document patient care using Epic charting system Educate patients and families on stroke and neuro care Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed Experience the best of Madison, Wisconsin nursing jobs while making a difference in neuro and telemetry patient care.
