We are excited to welcome a Lead Sales Engineer to our talented Sales Engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the sales process from a technical standpoint. You'll engage in impactful activities such as presentations, demonstrations, proof of value propositions, pilots, and technical workshops. Collaborating closely with our Field & Inside Sales teams, partners, and product management, you will be essential in translating technical requirements to and from EDB and our valued clients.
Qualifications :
Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL or Oracle, along with MySQL, SQL Server, Sybase, or DB2, ideally with hands-on administration or active usage.
Demonstrated customer-facing experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, consulting, or technical support roles.
A collaborative spirit, focused on solutions, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Requirements :
Knowledge of High Availability, Scalability, Performance trade-offs, Security, and related concepts.
Cloud experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMWare Cloud, or OpenStack, as well as virtualization technologies.
Preferred Experience :
Proven ability to conduct product proof-of-value processes from initial requirements gathering to successful execution, meeting objectives and success criteria.
Hands-on experience with Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Microservices, and PaaS solutions such as OpenShift or CloudFoundry.
Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby, or C / C++ and their database connectors (JDBC, ODBC, etc.).
