JOB TITLE : Aircraft Final Line Mechanic II

LOCATION : Savannah, GA

PAY RATE : $28.75 / hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary :

Work as part of a team to install aircraft parts, components, lines, and cables using appropriate tools, blueprints, and specifications.

Ensure all work meets operational and quality standards through final inspection.

May assist in mentoring junior mechanics.

Assemble, install, and adjust structural parts and system components, including control cables, linkages, landing gear, engines, cowls, and aircraft doors.

Remove and replace system components; cut, fit, and install system lines and hardware to perform repairs.

Ensure quality and conformity of all installations, performing rework as needed.

Install system lines, valves, ducts, and hardware to ensure leak-free operation.

Use various tools and equipment (e.g., permaswage pumps, dies, line cutters, wrenches, gauges) to complete installations.

Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and structural issues.

Complete and sign required documentation and records.

Inspect own work and, when required, verify work of junior mechanics before final inspection.

Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all safety and FOD / 5S protocols.

Demonstrate core manufacturing competencies.

Maintain all relevant logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, etc.).

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if required

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED required

3+ years of aerospace / aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., automotive, heavy equipment)

A&P License (FAA Airframe & Powerplant) preferred

Ability to climb ladders / stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs

Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Skilled in close-tolerance work; capable of using precision tools for tasks like drilling, reaming, and fitting

Ability to operate hydraulic mule pumps, fixtures, and jigs

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
