Certifications :

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required
• Current NRP certification required

Must-Have :

Description :

Responsible for the pulmonary care of critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision.

Performs patient assessments and develops respiratory care plans.

Conducts various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the facility.

Meets expectations of applicable competencies, including emergency response, airway management, and ventilator management.

Delivers aerosolized drugs and provides oral hygiene.

Manages airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP.

Documents accurately and completely, and cleans and stocks equipment as necessary.

Participates in surveys as required.

May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader, overseeing other staff.

Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, and bronchoscopy assistance.

Transport duties may be required as necessary.
