The Transactional Legal Assistant provides high-level administrative and document support to attorneys and paralegals handling business, corporate, real estate, and other transactional matters. This role involves preparing, editing, and managing complex legal documents, maintaining closing files, coordinating transaction logistics, and ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced legal environment.
Prepare, proofread, and revise correspondence, agreements, contracts, and other transactional documents.
Manage document versions, signature pages, and execution packages for closings.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic deal files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in preparing closing binders and coordinating post-closing follow-up.
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate conference calls with clients and opposing counsel.
Perform basic legal research and gather corporate information from public sources (e.g., Secretary of State databases).
Handle e-filing, document management, and data entry in firm systems.
Track deadlines and filing requirements related to corporate entities, licenses, or regulatory filings.
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal staff.
