As a Lead Paraprofessional (ABSS) member at New Story Schools, you will model effective classroom and behavioral support practices. Youll guide students toward academic and behavioral success while mentoring other support staff to uphold consistent, high-quality instruction and care.

What Youll Need

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum one year of experience supporting children with behavioral or learning needs

Knowledge of behavioral disorders and positive support strategies

Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills

Ability to implement and model nonviolent crisis intervention techniques

What Youll Do

Support implementation of students IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans

Lead classroom activities and maintain structure in the teachers absence

Provide coaching and support to Academic and Behavior Support Staff

Assist with data collection and documentation for student progress

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and organized learning environment
