Location : Burlington, Vermont 05401

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,590 – $2,660

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : May 18, 2026

Assignment Duration : 26–32 weeks

Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30); occasional day shifts as needed

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : Every weekend required

Orientation : Bi-weekly, next available on 11 / 17

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Vermont RN license or eligibility (pending licenses considered case-by-case)

Minimum 1 year of recent high-risk Labor & Delivery RN experience in an academic or large hospital setting

Recent experience with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system (within past 2 years)

BLS and NRP certifications required

Proficient in triage of obstetrical patients, EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), central lines (CVC / PICC), insulin drips, circulating and recovering C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and infection control / PPE protocols

Flexible with scheduling; willing to work 2 of 3 major holidays if scheduled

Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not available); all-season or snow tires recommended November–April

Complete work history required (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.); explain employment gaps over 90 days

COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions)

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

No block scheduling available

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to high-risk laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, academic healthcare environment

Monitor, assess, and document patient status using EPIC EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Circulate and recover C-sections, perform triage, and manage central lines and insulin drips as needed

Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Demonstrate flexibility to cover occasional day shifts and adapt to changing unit needs

Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development
