Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Harvey, Illinois 60426 (Chicago south suburbs) Healthcare Setting : Telemetry Unit (East 6) Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025 - End : 2 / 23 / 2026) Nursing Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1500 - $1540 per week Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Charting System : Epic EMR Floating : Required to other units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience Active Illinois RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) BLS and ACLS certifications required Competency in rhythm strip interpretation (must pass EKG strip test at orientation) Preferred experience with cardiac drips (dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem) COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Ability to work every other weekend and float as needed Epic charting experience preferred Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities Assess acute changes in adult and geriatric patients in a busy telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond to dysrhythmias Initiate and maintain cardiac drips as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more Provide high-quality care for patients with diagnoses such as MI, arrhythmia, CVA, CHF, DKA, post pacemaker, and more Document patient care using Epic EMR Float to other nursing units as required Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
