Your Impact

As Newmont’s Group Head, Processing and Legacy, you will shape how we extract metals and manage our environmental footprint across the full mining lifecycle. You’ll lead the global strategy for processing, water, tailings, closure, and legacy management — driving innovation, performance, and responsible mining practices that secure Newmont’s future as a sustainable industry leader.

As Part Of Our Team, You Will

• Develop and implement a global strategy for processing, water, residue, closure, and legacy management aligned with Newmont’s long-term goals.
• Benchmark and enhance operational excellence across metallurgical and processing disciplines.
• Integrate sustainability, safety, and responsible mining principles into all technical systems and processes.
• Strengthen governance through robust standards, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Build strong internal and external partnerships — with executives, business units, universities, regulators, and industry peers.
• Develop organizational capability through clear technical standards, training, and leadership development.

Prerequisites For Your Success In This Role

Your Work Environment

This is a  global leadership role within Newmont’s Chief Technical Office (CTO) . You’ll collaborate across multiple regions and sites, combining strategic direction with technical and operational engagement. Some international travel will be required to support site performance, stakeholder engagement, and global initiatives.

This role is also open to candidates based in Canada or Australia, provided they reside within commuting distance of a regional office.

Please note : The listed salary range is specific to roles based in Denver, Colorado. Compensation for candidates in other regions—including Canada and Australia—will be adjusted according to local market benchmarks and cost-of-living considerations.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $$225,015 to $357,200. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and / or experience.  The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
