Ggiata Delicatessen is a New Jersey style Italian deli serving big, delicious sandwiches, on the freshest breads, salads, and house-made desserts. We have five location in the LA area with more to come.  All of our food is fresh, our sauces, spreads and salad dressings made in house, as are our biscuits, cakes, and  cookies . Counter Staff responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting and enhancing their orders, receiving payments, issuing receipts, wrapping food packages, and maintaining the cashier counter area, lobby, inside tables, floor, take out supplies, pastries, beverages, and chips.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and a strong understanding of operating a point-of-sales system and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional hospitality.

Requirements include :

  • Immaculate personal appearance including uniform
  • Speaks clearly and expresses themselves with confidence
  • Ability to calculate sales and change quickly
  • Service-oriented and willing to help patrons
  • Customer service skills to maintain positive customer relationships, encourage customer loyalty and resolve conflicts
  • Excellent communication to interact with team members and customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and transaction records
  • Act as 'face of the company' to all customers welcoming them with a smile and upbeat personality
  • Obsessive about menu knowledge, allergens, vegan and vegetarian options, and eager to guide customers through the menu.
  • Accurately rings in purchases, accepts credit cards, cash and efficiently closes transaction
  • Maintains counter, pastry, beverage, and chip supplies throughout meal.
  • Checks on stock of all packaging and take-out supplies to ensure quick and easy access to all cashiers
