Role Description

OutKast Industrial Group is currently seeking a reliable and safety-oriented individual for the position of Part-Time Waste Technician Apprentice . This apprenticeship role is designed to provide structured, on-the-job training in industrial waste management practices. The apprentice will work under direct supervision while gaining practical experience in the safe handling, processing, and disposal of waste in compliance with all applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This is a part-time on-site role for a Waste Technician Apprentice located in Harvey, LA. The Waste Technician Apprentice will be responsible for assisting with the safe removal and disposal of waste materials, performing decontamination tasks, and supporting chemical cleaning and neutralization processes. The role involves aiding in daily operations, following safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records of waste disposal activities. The Waste Technician Apprentice will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience and relevant industry certifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection, segregation, labeling, and disposal of waste materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Operate basic tools, equipment, and protective devices under supervision.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of assigned work areas.
• Complete required logs, records, and other documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in required safety training, including hazardous materials handling and emergency response protocols.
• Support senior technicians with site inspections, preventive equipment maintenance, and waste transport preparation.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
