CoreCivic is currently seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join our dedicated mental health team. In this impactful role, you will provide essential clinical mental health services within a correctional environment, helping to make significant, lasting changes in the lives of offenders.
Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Conducting comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments by reviewing records and engaging in clinical interviews with inmates.
- Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans tailored to each inmate's needs and functional level.
- Documenting all treatment activities and evaluations accurately in the health care records.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times.
- Applying your knowledge of psychological counseling theories and techniques to effectively support your caseload.
- Providing mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions as needed for inmates.
Qualifications :
A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, including two (2) years in a comparable position.Possession of relevant state certification or licensing, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.A valid driver's license is preferred unless mandated otherwise by contract or law.Minimum age requirement : Must be at least 18 years of age.CoreCivic is committed to providing a Drug-Free Workplace & is an Equal Opportunity Employer including Disability / Veterans.
