Mental Health Specialist

CoreCivic is currently seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join our dedicated mental health team. In this impactful role, you will provide essential clinical mental health services within a correctional environment, helping to make significant, lasting changes in the lives of offenders.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

• Conducting comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments by reviewing records and engaging in clinical interviews with inmates.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans tailored to each inmate's needs and functional level.
• Documenting all treatment activities and evaluations accurately in the health care records.
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information at all times.
• Applying your knowledge of psychological counseling theories and techniques to effectively support your caseload.
• Providing mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions as needed for inmates.

Qualifications :

A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.

A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, including two (2) years in a comparable position.

Possession of relevant state certification or licensing, such as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.

A valid driver's license is preferred unless mandated otherwise by contract or law.

Minimum age requirement : Must be at least 18 years of age.
