Senior Principal Engineer – AI-based Autonomous Driving Systems
Join us at Bosch Home Comfort USA to lead the development and deployment of AI technology for automated driving. The role involves guiding cross‑functional teams to deliver state‑of‑the‑art L2+ ADAS products and working closely with C‑suite management to shape the organization’s capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Bosch L2+ ADAS product development, focusing on the usage of state‑of‑the‑art end‑to‑end AI architectures.
- Provide technical guidance to our global development team based on experience taking an E2E AI L2+ ADAS product to market.
- Drive fundamental AI architecture design decisions and ensure their successful implementation.
- Develop the organization’s capabilities to deliver safe and high‑quality AI‑based autonomous driving systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI technologies into data‑driven software and development ecosystems.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in AI‑based autonomous driving systems to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.7+ years of experience in data‑driven software engineering and product development of AI‑based autonomous driving systems.Proven industry experience in product development and public road release of AI‑based autonomous driving systems.Excellent leadership and communication skills to lead and collaborate with R&D teams.Knowledge of PaaS approach using cloud as a foundation (e.g., MS Azure).Profound knowledge in mapping AI models onto embedded and resource‑constrained hardware.Proficient coding skills in languages such as C++ and Python.Proven track record of leading end‑to‑end development and successful deployment of complex AI‑powered systems into production at scale.Preferred Qualifications
Proven leadership of large heterogeneous and global project teams, including engineers, product and project managers, and financial staff.Comfortable interacting with C‑suite management to develop overall vision and its implementation.Knowledge of automated driving technology, automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO‑26262), and relevant automotive certifications.Compensation & Benefits
Base salary : $240,000 – $300,000 (U.S.). The total compensation package includes annual bonuses, health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k) with employer match, wellness programs, life, long‑term disability insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.
