Ceded Reinsurance Accounting Technician
Location: US (East Coast preferred – Remote)
Terms: Full-Time
Compre is a fast-growing global specialty reinsurance company serving the Lloyd’s, European, and North American insurance markets.
We’re looking for an experienced Ceded Reinsurance Accounting Technician to join our team and proactively manage ceded reinsurance for assigned portfolios. You’ll take ownership of your own caseload, support colleagues where needed, and help identify additional asset opportunities within ceded reinsurance programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Present ceded reinsurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond to reinsurer and broker queries as required
• Analyze daily and monthly claims movements for XOL recovery
• Maintain the internal reinsurance system to ensure accurate contract positions and manage erosion of available cover
• Input ceded reserves and settlement requests into ReSys and set up ceded policies with appropriate documentation
• Perform credit control activities, including cash collection and monitoring of aged debt
• Assist with due diligence reviews and onboarding of newly acquired books of business
• Support negotiations with counterparties to achieve the best outcomes for Compre-managed companies
• Assist with data cleansing initiatives and ad hoc project work
• Liaise with internal teams and manage workloads effectively, prioritizing competing demands
Candidate Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in ceded reinsurance accounting
• Strong ceded claims technical expertise
• Solid understanding of contract terms, conditions, and relevant legal frameworks
• Proven experience in credit control and cash collection
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
