Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Data and AI Services organization has a rare opportunity to play a critical part in building a key Oracle Cloud Data Service. You will assist in developing short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. The role involves interaction across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure objectives are met. Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and leadership skills are required.

Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for applications, tools, networks, databases, etc. As a member of the OCI software engineering division, you will perform professional software development tasks related to designing, developing, and debugging software applications or operating systems. A BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the role, with 8+ years of software engineering or related experience, is required.

Responsibilities

Build Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. Develop new services like Oracle Support Center and Oracle Support Digital Assistant, focusing on complex, large-scale, connected event platforms to enhance customer experience. Develop scalable support platforms using rule-based systems, machine learning, and interactive bots. Own software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure, working across the stack in a collaborative, agile environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of object-oriented programming (Java / C++)
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, networking protocols (TCP / IP, HTTP)
  • Knowledge of Internet protocols (SMTP, REST, SSL, HTTP)
  • Understanding of databases, NoSQL, storage, and distributed persistence
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments
  • Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka
  • Experience with large-scale, highly available distributed systems
  • Strong Unix / Linux skills
  • Experience with multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure
  • Note : The role is based in Nashville, TN, with a salary range of $96,800 - $223,400 annually. Applications are generally accepted for at least three days from posting or as long as the job is active. The company offers comprehensive benefits and is committed to diversity and inclusion.
