Our client is seeking a Tax Specialist to join their close-knit office and play a key role in preparing and reviewing returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts. What You'll Do As The Tax Specialist :

Prepare and review tax returns :

• Individuals (1040s) - ~85% of workload
• Businesses (1120, 1120-S, 1065) - ~10%
• Trusts / Estates (1041) - ~5%

Organize and analyze client documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, etc.)

Research tax issues and ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations

Assist with extensions, estimated payments, and other filings

Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve discrepancies

Maintain accuracy while managing deadlines during tax season

What We're Looking For In A Tax Specialist :

2+ years of experience in tax preparation (public accounting experience a plus)

Knowledge of individual and business tax returns

CPA license a plus, but not required

Reliable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently

Strong communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
