Position Summary : We are looking for a Sr Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics to lead the creation of scalable data ecosystems and predictive models that power business growth. This leader blends technical depth with commercial acumen, connecting analytics to marketing, sales, and portfolio strategy. The ideal candidate combines expertise in data architecture, advanced analytics, and CPG business dynamics—integrating syndicated, CRM, and digital data into unified insights that drive action. This role partners closely with Strategic Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure analytics directly inform decisions on portfolio, pricing, and go-to-market performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and maintain enterprise data architecture integrating syndicated (Nielsen, Circana), retail POS, CRM, digital, and media data.
Develop and automate data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar (e.g., dbt, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
Ensure robust data governance, quality, and scalability across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
Lead development of predictive and prescriptive models for forecasting, pricing, and marketing-mix optimization.
Apply econometric and machine learning approaches (regression, clustering, random forest, causal inference, NLP / LLM analytics).
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to translate analytical findings into business strategies and commercial actions.
Integrate consumer and digital signals—social listening, CRM, and media performance—into forward-looking predictive frameworks.
Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) linking marketing and sales KPIs to predictive insights.
Act as a business translator—bridging technical analytics and strategic decision-making across the enterprise.
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of analysts and data engineers to build analytical and business translation capabilities.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering—ideally in CPG, retail, or consumer-centric industries.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R and experience with ETL / orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar (e.g., dbt, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
Proficiency with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Experience integrating syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana), CRM, and digital / media datasets into unified analytics environments.
Strong grasp of marketing-mix modeling, demand forecasting, and media attribution methods.
Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; ability to translate analytics into clear, actionable business insights.
Strategic thinker with understanding of commercial levers—pricing, promotion, distribution, and investment efficiency.
Experience with AI / ML and predictive modeling tools (e.g., RapidMiner, KNIME, or similar).
Experience in deploying data science solutions into business workflows (MLOps).
Knowledge of natural language processing, LLM analytics, and advanced data mining methods.
Proven success leading analytics transformations or modernizing data infrastructures.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across commercial, technical, and executive teams.
The base salary for this position is between $110,000.00 and $140,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including an annual incentive bonus, medical / dental / vision insurance, life insurance, PTO / FTO, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
