About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in the Telecommunications Tower Industry . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rigging operations , tower construction , and OSHA compliance , with a proven ability to develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs across multiple job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA and industry standards.
- Conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs) , toolbox talks , and site inspections .
- Create and review rigging plans and ensure compliance with all fall protection and lift procedures .
- Lead accident investigations , root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
- Train and mentor field crews on safe work practices, PPE use, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain all required documentation including incident reports , training records , and safety audits .
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure a culture of safety and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 + years of safety management experience in the Tower or Telecommunications industry .Strong knowledge of rigging , crane and hoisting operations , and fall protection systems .Certified in OSHA 30 (Construction) – additional certifications such as Competent Climber , Rescue Certified , or Rigging & Signal Person preferred.Familiarity with NATE, and OSHA standards .Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.Preferred Skills
Experience writing and implementing rigging and rescue plans .Knowledge of RF awareness and hazard controls .Proficiency in using safety management software and digital reporting tools.Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
