Salary : Starting at $22 / hour, commensurate with experience

The IT Support Field Technician provides on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network systems at client locations. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performing installations, and maintaining accurate documentation using tools such as ConnectWise. The technician works independently in the field while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.

Essential Functions :

  • Travel to client sites to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset in identifying and resolving technical issues across platforms.
  • Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations using a ticketing system such as ConnectWise.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to troubleshoot issues, share knowledge, and support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards and client expectations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support team and business needs.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, including remote troubleshooting and client-site service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with computer hardware, Windows / Mac operating systems, and basic networking.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, and a talent for building trust with clients and team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
  • Must pass a background screening as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular travel to client sites required; must have a valid Florida drivers license and reliable transportation.
