Responsibilities Position is in a 24-bed ICU that may flex up to 36 beds and includes neuro, cardiac, and postsurgical cases Patient ratios typically range from 1 : 2 to 1 : 3, depending on staffing Specialized equipment and procedures include Alaris pumps, ventilators, CPAP / BiPAP, pressors, IABP, EVD, ICP, TVP, CRRT, Impella, SWAN, and ECMO Care may include high-acuity patients with multi-system organ failure or trauma Night shifts are 12 hours, with every other weekend and every other holiday required Floating to all levels of care within the hospital may be required Unit has intensivist and hospitalist coverage, along with a rapid response team and 24 / 7 resource and supervisory support EPIC EHR experience is preferred but not required Dress code requires navy blue scrubs Primary responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill patients Duties involve management of life-supporting technology and hemodynamic monitoring Expected to coordinate care across hospital departments and act as a resource for families Team structure includes support from medical residents, mid-level providers, and resource staff at all times Candidates may self-schedule after their first scheduling period All staff are expected to provide holiday coverage on a rotating basis Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required BLS required prior to direct patient care; ACLS required within 6 months of hire Pass / fail EKG / dysrhythmia exam on start (study guide provided; two attempts allowed) Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Experience with advanced critical care technology preferred Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-632703.
