Job description225 bed specialty care hospital Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, Pediatrics Region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services Located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula Largest community in the peninsula Home to Northern Michigan University candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel Facility Department / Cost Center : Acute Medical / Surgical Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.) : RN Specialty : Medical / Surgical Number of Openings : Shift : 7p - 7a Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 36 Weekend Hours : Rotating Call Requirements : Required Certifications : ACLS Years of Experience : 2 Float Requirements : Occasional to like unit Additional Notes : Number of Beds : Patient Ratios : 5 : 1 to 6 : 1 Equipment : Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps EHR : Cerner Manager : Linda Bergren Patient Population e.g. geriatric, adult, peds, etc. : Adult and geriatric, 18 - 125 Must Have Skills / Experience : Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Preferred Skillset / Experience : Prefer experience on a medical / surgical unit; Common Diagnosis / Treatment : Personality Fit : Required Education : Batchelors degree Scrub Color : Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable) Any unacceptable attire : Fingernails should be kept clean and should not be excessive in length and in compliance with the Hand Hygiene Policy.
