About the Role
The Company is in search of a Divisional Vice President of Medicine to spearhead the medical operations strategy for its East Division. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and influential veterinary medical leader, responsible for overseeing and directing clinical quality, medical excellence, team-based care, and clinical productivity in partnership with the Divisional Vice President of Operations. This role involves leading and developing a team of medical directors and ensuring the creation of a talent pipeline to support organizational growth and high standards of patient safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elevating the standard of care, developing and coaching medical leaders, and using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to optimize clinical teams while maintaining sustainable business performance.
Candidates for the Divisional Vice President of Medicine position at the company should have a Bachelor’s Degree, DVM, and successful completion of a 1-year rotating internship, with at least 10 years of clinical practice as an emergency or board-certified specialty clinician. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and / or revenues exceeding $100MM is required. The role demands a leader with a strong business acumen, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in decision-making. The DVPM will be expected to exemplify the company's values, ensure the development of medical leaders, and maintain a positive and engaging work environment. The position is pivotal in driving the company's mission of enriching lives through remarkable care for pets and its vision of transforming the delivery of veterinary care.
