About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIH, MAB
Must-Have :
Telemetry experience is required.
Experience with a 1 : 3 patient ratio is preferred.
Description :
RN for the Observation Unit with 8 rooms and 16 beds.
Patient ratio is 1 : 4.
Experience with telemetry is a hard requirement.
Float to Medical / Surgical and Telemetry units is required.
Every other weekend is typically required.
Self-scheduling with manager balance is available.
Experience traveling is preferred, but first-time travelers with appropriate experience will be considered.
Navy scrubs are required (not provided).
Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary.
Provider coverage includes intensivist, NP, and hospitalist.
Telemetry experience must include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Candidates should have experience in the titration of insulin drips, feeding tube care and management, and pre / post hemodialysis management.
Experience with renal failure and accessing ports is required.
Skills in peripheral line care / management, starting IVs, and heparin protocols are necessary.
Ability to manage cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and CVA patients is expected.
Experience providing care for ventilated patients and managing external CPAP / BiPAP and high flow nasal cannula is required.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and wound care, including wound vac management, is necessary.
Preferred skills include arterial line management, central line care / management, phlebotomy, and chest tube management.
Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
