Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications for acute care radiology assignments.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an acute care setting within the General X-Ray Radiology departmentWork schedule is 12-hour evening and night shifts from 6 : 30 pm Wednesday to 7 : 00 am Saturday, covering ER and inpatient, with no surgery or callDuties include performing plain film X-rays and portable exams, with 100-150 plain film and 10-15 OR cases per dayWill use Carestream fixed and portable units, Siemens fluoroscopy, GE OEC C-arms, cysto fluoro table, hybrid OR vascular unit, and Scimage PICOM PACS systemCharting is performed on Allscripts Sunrise (BAR)Floating to ED or inpatient X-ray only as needed, no other department coverageOR experience is required for the roleNo requirement to start IVs for this positionOrientation is completed during scheduled shiftsTeam includes a radiology supervisor and does not utilize Registered Radiology AssistantsRadiologist is in-house Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pmTravelers are expected to precept radiology students within the departmentLight grey scrubs are the dress code; scrubs are not provided but surgical scrubs are allowed for OR coverageTravelers are expected to help cover holidays as neededRequirements
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Radiology TechnologistCurrent ARRT and BLS certifications requiredExperience with portable imaging examsExperience with OR imaging requiredProficiency with Carestream, Siemens, and GE OEC equipment preferredFamiliarity with Allscripts Sunrise (BAR) EMR and Scimage PICOM PACS is preferredLicense required if applicableBenefits
