Overview

Manages communications activities to promote the advancement of a major university program or center through the planning and coordination of its publications and media relations.

Responsibilities

• Designs and coordinates publications for the program, including brochures, newsletters, annual reports and other marketing and promotional materials.
• Manages the design and update of program web sites.
• Coordinates the procurement and management of graphic design, printing and other publication-related services.
• Writes and disseminates news and press releases for the program.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external media organizations, as well as the university\'s media relations department.
• Manages advertising, marketing and publications for promotional events and other special programs.
• Participates in the strategic planning process related to marketing and promotion of the program.
• Writes and edits articles, speeches, and other communication projects as assigned.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Working Title and Description

This position works in the Office of Communications at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. This position is responsible for developing and executing posting calendars for college social media, including the college\'s main accounts on Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn as well as accounts for Bauer Graduate & Professional Programs on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. This position will also serve as one of the administrators of these accounts, with daily responsibility for making scheduled posts, responding to comments, engaging with followers and answering DMs, in addition to researching social media trends and strategies to enhance the college\'s social media presence. This position will be part of the team\'s Social Media Work Group, responsible for scheduling meetings, developing meeting agendas, taking notes and following up on discussions during the bi-monthly planning meetings.

The Office of Communications is an integrated team responsible for sharing the Bauer College story and leading both internal and external communication and marketing, promoting activities of faculty, staff and students, while keeping donors, alumni, prospective students, media and the community up to date on the college.
