About The Position
Weekly Pay $55.67 / hour - SLP at Everest Rehabilitation Hospital, San Antonio, TX
- Provide comprehensive inpatient acute rehabilitation services in a 36-bed hospital setting.
- Deliver ongoing care and specialized treatment for patients recovering from severe injuries or illnesses (e.g., stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, orthopedic injury).
- Customize and tailor rehabilitation programs to meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Maximize patient health, functional abilities, and quality of life through personalized physical medicine and rehabilitation.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide :
- Neurological rehabilitation for brain, spinal cord, or nerve injuries
- Specialized and coordinated care for spinal cord injuries
- Structured rehabilitation for brain injuries, addressing physical, cognitive, and behavioral challenges
- Stroke rehabilitation focused on physical and psychological recovery
- Evidence-based care for amputee patients to restore function, mobility, and independence
- Orthopedic rehabilitation for patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, and related conditions
- Establish individual objectives for each patient, including gait training, stair climbing, transfer training, muscle strengthening, fall safety, and activities of daily living.
- Support patients throughout their recovery journey, from acute care to community reintegration.
