Application Support engineer requirements [DevOps, SRE, AWS)

Position : W2 / 1099

Location : Jersey City, NJ

Duration : 12+ months

Job description : Must have criteria :

Experience : Minimum 7-8 years in the technology domain, ideally in financial services or payment systems.

DevOps & SRE : Strong hands-on ability, deep understanding of release, incident and Change management.

Technical skills :

o Advanced AWS experience (Certification is a plus), hands-on with RDS, Postgre, Oracle.

o Proficient in Terraform and HashiCorp toolsets.

o Strong Unix / Database scripting ability.

Operational Flexibility : Willing and able to support round-the-clock operations, including weekends and overnight shifts as needed.

Communication & Attitude : Outstanding verbal and written communication, resilient and pro-active under pressure, positive team player.

Location : Willingness to work onsite five days a week in Jersey City.

Nice to have skills :

Experience with Anomaly detection, AI integrations, or Machine learning.

Knowledge of blockchain platforms or related technologies.

Exposure to financial compliance norms and multi region client engagements.

Prior work in payments or relevant fintech environments.
