Position Summary :

The Social Workercollaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in thedevelopment of the IHP / IEP for students requiring social work intervention andsupport in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Provides individual and group counseling to support students' emotional, behavioral, and social development.

Collaborates with teachers, administrators, and families to identify and address barriers to student success.

Connects students and families with community resources, including mental health services, housing support, and crisis intervention.

Develops and implements intervention plans for at-risk students to improve attendance, academic performance, and behavior.

Advocates for students' well-being and ensures compliance with school policies, legal mandates, and ethical standards in social work practice.

Minimum Requirements

Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and / or facility

May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
