In this role, you won't just write algorithms - you'll be shaping the next generation of intelligence capabilities, from concept and prototyping through operational deployment and long-term sustainment.
You'll collaborate with world-class engineers, mission operators, and government leaders to bring AI / ML from the lab to the field - ensuring our systems remain agile, scalable, and mission-ready at all times. This is an opportunity to blend innovation with purpose, applying your technical expertise where it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders (government, mission planners, domain experts) to define requirements for AI / ML services.
- Research, design, develop, test, and deploy AI / ML models across domains (vision, natural language, detection / classification, anomaly detection, etc.).
- Support model lifecycle management : training, validation, performance monitoring, retraining, tuning, and maintaining model pipelines.
- Integrate ML services into systems / platforms, including edge / embedded or cloud environments as required.
- Provide operational support : debugging, performance optimization, resolving issues in deployed services.
- Maintain technical documentation : architecture, experiment results, version control of models, data flows, definitions of metrics.
- Conduct risk assessments and apply best practices for AI / ML development : bias, fairness, security, robustness.
- Assist with tasks such as data preparation, feature engineering, and dataset versioning.
- Support prototyping efforts and rapid experimentation; stay up to date on state of the art AI / ML techniques, frameworks, tools.
- Possibly travel for integration events, field tests, or mission engagements.
