Service Center Manager
Service Center Managers are responsible for the organization, staffing, enforcement and accomplishment of all Service Center activities in an efficient and economical manner consistent with Corporate's objectives.
Responsibilities include :
- Inspecting and measuring Service Center performance to identify opportunities or problem areas and develop solutions
- Maintaining excellent communication with external and internal customers
- Analyzing revenue statistics
- Identifying sales opportunities and developing customer solutions
- Keeping fully informed of competitor developments
- Recruiting, qualifying, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing Service Center personnel
- Developing sales / marketing action plans to maximize territory revenue
- Investigating, reporting, and initiating corrective actions for accidents, job related injuries, and employee discrepancies
- Understanding and complying with Dayton Freight's safety practices including DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules and regulations
- Evaluating all freight claims
- Ensuring that Service Center premises are protected and maintained
- Facilitating informational meetings with Service Center team members
- Effectively handling special assignments as directed
