ERP Implementation Consultant

For more than 30 years, ECI Software Solutions has been providing industry-specific, cloud-based business management software and services to small and medium-sized businesses; focusing on manufacturing, wholesale / retail distribution, building and construction, and field service. Deacom is a comprehensive single-system ERP platform from ECI that gives process manufacturers one core product that integrates all the modules they need to level the playing field, run day-to-day operations more efficiently, and free them up to focus on what matters most - how their business gets done.

This is an independent contractor position based remotely in the United States.

ECI is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, high-energy, hands-on professional to join our Professional Services team to drive project implementations for our Deacom Product.

As a successful Deacom Independent Consulting Contractor, upon completion of training and certification, you will ensure delivery of Deacom solutions across a variety of industries implementing new strategies, solutions, and processes to reach successful go-lives and customer satisfaction.

The Independent Consultant, based remotely in the United States, will work across all aspects of a project lifecycle from presales to final delivery. Candidates with experience in Manufacturing, Finance, Professional Services industries are highly desirable.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be the primary representative and go-to resource for new customers implementing the all-inclusive ECI DEACOM ERP platform.
  • Lead customer sessions with the objective of identifying and documenting : Current and future business initiatives, Gap analysis within current systems and / or processes, and Reporting / data analytics requirements.
  • Understand and deliver upon ECI Deacom implementation methodology, which includes the ability to complete :
  • Requirements gathering through existing process reviews
  • Systems design and fit-gap analysis
  • System configuration and setup
  • Engineer Deacom solutions based on complicated customer business requirements
  • Concept validation and user acceptance testing
  • Pre-implementation system testing
  • Data migration and data formatting recommendations
  • Consulting recap and activity reporting
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help customers understand and continuously improve their business.
  • Travel to customers domestically and internationally, average 50%, understanding business processes and delivering training for customers using DEACOM.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain, information systems or equivalent
  • Strong ERP product knowledge, 1-3 years ERP experience preferred
  • Prior experience in software implementation or consultation.
  • Understand common industry business practices in manufacturing, operations, distribution, and finance
  • Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner to users with varying levels of technical expertise via telephone and in-person
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, delivers high-quality work, self-motivated and an internal desire to succeed
  • Excellent presentation and written / oral communication skills
  • Possesses a professional presence suitable for direct client interaction by telephone
  • Valid drivers license and / or passport for the travel within the US & Canada that will be required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Windows
  • Additional Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED)

  • Experience working with a customer on business process improvement projects.
  • Experience in using Microsoft SQL Server query, views, and stored procedures.
  • APICS / CPIM certification a plus.
  • Prior experience in project management, specifically using MS Project or other project planning tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Visio, designing process mappings and flowcharts to illustrate workflow.
