• Level III Perinatal Care Experience
• Experience with high-risk mothers and newborns

Description :

Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.

Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making.

Show compassion and skilled communication.

Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment.

Aim for the best patient experience across the continuum.

Provide care for high-risk mothers and newborns.

Knowledgeable in caring for placenta accreta, tubal ligation, cerclage, hysterectomies, and assisting in C-section deliveries.

Perform surgical recovery and care for newborns.

Experienced in handling massive transfusions and pre-eclampsia.

Familiar with COVID protocols.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1-2 for active labor, and 1 : 3 for antepartum.

Follows staffing guidelines.

Skills required include fetal monitoring, maternal assessments, high-risk newborn post-delivery care, and cervical exams for labor progression.

Assist with circulating C-sections and primary nursing for vaginal deliveries.

Support procedures and postpartum care.

Charting system used is EPIC, with equipment including Alaris and fetal monitoring.

Travelers may float to other units as needed.

Must be available to work 7 days a week.

Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply.

Scrub color is provided.
