Albany Medical College – Division of Cardiology Albany Medical College seeks a Director of Advanced Heart Failure to lead the Capital Region’s only DNV-certified comprehensive advanced heart failure program. Academic rank is open commensurate with experience and qualifications. There is strong support from Albany Medical College to develop research programs.

Provide clinical and program leadership in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and transplant cardiology.

Oversee pre- and post-operative care for transplant and VAD patients in partnership with regional surgical centers.

Advance the program’s academic, clinical, and research missions.

Fellowship training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation.

At least 2–3 years of clinical experience as an advanced heart failure specialist at an academic medical center.

Academic rank open (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) and based on experience and qualifications.

Commitment to teaching, mentoring, and advancing the field of heart failure cardiology.

Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York.

Competitive base salary range $400,000-$450,000 depending on academic rank with additional incentive bonus opportunity
