About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to spearhead its global people strategy. The successful candidate will be a seasoned HR executive with a proven track record in both Canadian and U.S. employment environments, and practical experience in global HR operations. This role is pivotal in leading the organization through a period of significant change, and the VP of HR will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors, ensuring that HR strategies align with and support the company's performance, transformation, and stability. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a global human capital strategy, overseeing HR operations across North America and key global regions, and leading change management and culture alignment efforts.
Candidates for this role must have a Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, a partnership orientation with finance, and the ability to guide people strategy within a private equity-owned environment. Experience in managing a diverse workforce, including various employment types, and a deep understanding of compensation, benefits, and performance management best practices are essential. The role also requires the ability to travel to Toronto 1-2 weeks per month and a preference for candidates with prior exposure to HR practices across Europe or Asia, as well as relevant HR certifications.
