Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARMRIT certification for an acute care MRI unit using EpicCare EMR.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the main MRI unit of an acute care setting
  • Patient population includes acute care cases requiring MRI imaging
  • Shift schedule is four 10-hour day shifts : Thursday / Friday 8 : 00 AM-4 : 30 PM, Saturday / Sunday 7 : 00 AM-7 : 30 PM, with call and holiday rotations
  • On-call is a week-long rotation currently once per month, with hours Monday-Friday 11 : 00 PM-7 : 00 AM, and Saturday / Sunday 7 : 00 AM-7 : 00 AM the following day
  • MRI equipment includes Philips 1.5T and 3T, with Siemens 1.5T coming soon
  • Uses EpicCare Inpatient EMR (2010); previous Epic experience preferred
  • Call back is rare, averaging 2-4 times per month
  • Candidates are responsible for daily parking fees, with multiple on / off campus options available
  • Holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule
  • 8 hours of orientation provided at start of assignment
  • Applicants must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities in the past 12 months except PRN through outside firms

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years MRI technologist experience required
  • BLS and Certified MRI Technologist via ARMRIT required; will also accept AMRIT
  • Familiarity with Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI systems required
  • References : One supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
