Maintenance Manager

Overview

A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations in a high-speed production environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and automated systems who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all maintenance activities for plant equipment and systems
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment as needed
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with operational standards
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintain organized storage areas
  • Coordinate and oversee on-site contractors and service providers
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
  • Assess training needs and support continuous skill development
  • Manage scheduling, timekeeping, and performance evaluations for maintenance staff
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production efficiency and reliability

  • What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance leadership within manufacturing or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer-controlled machinery
  • Proven experience managing maintenance teams in a fast-paced production setting
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and general industrial equipment
  • Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, and use hands to handle tools or equipment
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs. frequently, and occasionally over 50 lbs.
  • Must have close vision and the ability to focus on detail-oriented tasks
