Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Provide seamless chair-side support to an experienced orthodontists using efficient four-handed dentistry techniques

Prepare treatment rooms meticulously, ensuring all instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and ready for use following standard protocol

Promptly break down and reset treatment rooms post-procedure, returning instruments for immediate sterilization

Organize and set up procedure trays according to the day's patient charts and expected treatments

Daily morning meeting and team schedule review, anticipating the doctor's needs in advance

Greet, seat, and screen patients - communicating patient concerns effectively to the doctor

Review patient charts and maintain patient records, ensuring they are up to date

Provide patient education on proper care and maintenance of orthodontic appliances

Take quality diagnostic records consisting of intra and extraoral photographs, intraoral scanning using the iTero scanner, panoramic, cephalometric, and 3D / CBCT x-rays as needed

Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces, wires, appliances, Invisalign, and retainers.

Ensure operatories are consistently well-stocked and organized to support efficient patient care

Manage inventory and order materials as needed
