Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Provide seamless chair-side support to an experienced orthodontists using efficient four-handed dentistry techniquesPrepare treatment rooms meticulously, ensuring all instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and ready for use following standard protocolPromptly break down and reset treatment rooms post-procedure, returning instruments for immediate sterilizationOrganize and set up procedure trays according to the day's patient charts and expected treatmentsDaily morning meeting and team schedule review, anticipating the doctor's needs in advanceGreet, seat, and screen patients - communicating patient concerns effectively to the doctorReview patient charts and maintain patient records, ensuring they are up to dateProvide patient education on proper care and maintenance of orthodontic appliancesTake quality diagnostic records consisting of intra and extraoral photographs, intraoral scanning using the iTero scanner, panoramic, cephalometric, and 3D / CBCT x-rays as neededAssist the orthodontist during patient procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces, wires, appliances, Invisalign, and retainers.Ensure operatories are consistently well-stocked and organized to support efficient patient careManage inventory and order materials as neededRequirements
