QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION :
Bachelor Degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or a Bachelor Degree or advanced degree in Elementary Education with 18 ECE credits and two (2) years experience teaching preschool age children; or a Bachelor Degree or advanced degree in a related field with 30 ECE credits and two (2) years experience teaching preschool age children.
OR
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education; or an Associate Degree in a related field with 30 ECE credits and two (2) years experience teaching preschool age children.

Monday Friday 8 : 00AM 4 : 00PMBRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
Regular and reliable attendance is essential.Follow designated curriculum (i.e., Creative Curriculum and others).Actively interact with children during scheduled activities.Be flexible and responsive to the needs of children and parents and supervisors directives.Organize the environment, plan appropriate daily schedule, use transition times for learning, etc.Involve parents in the program.Prepare for and complete parent / teacher conferencing.Complete and submit child outcomes and observations as required (e.g., completion of data input of childrens developmental information into cc.net).Provide child centered activities (e.g., large and small group developmentally appropriate activities).Prepare individualized program to provide for childrens individual developmental needs.Utilize developmentally appropriate learning materials.Provide learning activities for all children for the following goals as per the Creative Curriculum and Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards : social / emotional development, physical development, cognitive development, language development.Complete required environmental and developmental screenings / assessments.Ensure a safe environment.Sanitize classroom items regularly.Facilitate appropriate transition activities including parents and school district personnel.Ensure safety for any scheduled field trips.Submission of all reports to supervisor as per established timelines.Comply with all Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements for continued education, including timeline in obtaining Level II certification as defined by the PA Pre-K Grant.Attend all scheduled trainings and meetings (out-of-town travel may be required).Follow agency policies and procedures.Promote community awareness of the Pre-K Program and assist in the recruitment of eligible children.Follow procedure for mandated reporting of all suspected child abuse and maintain confidentiality.Order, inventory and maintain current classroom supplies, materials and equipment on an on-going basis.Provide information to families on community events, parent education classes and other items of importance.Promote childrens physical and nutritional health and well-being.Responsible for day to day classroom activities as per the Pennsylvania Department of Education, PA Pre-K Grant and the agencys policies and procedures.Competitive wage, salary & benefits403B, Paid time off, Employee Assistance ProgramIRS mileage reimbursement - .70 Cents / mileFor more information, please visit our website atwww.myblueprints.orgor call Alexis Rosko at 724-225-9550 Extension 424.
