Job description

Mechanical Designer Opportunity

We have an opening for a Mechanical Designer in the North Minneapolis, MN. The Mechanical Designer creates designs and technical documentation for mechanical devices and equipment. Ideal candidate will have experience with industrial automated equipment, gear reduction, servo and VFD drives, etc. Works well independently and with a team.

Required :

  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • High Mechanical Aptitude
  • Complex problem solving
  • Autodesk Inventor experience (or similar)
  • AutoCad, Macros, Visual Basic, and Excel skills desirable
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Works well under pressure
  • Machining and assembly experience

Job Order Details :

  • Customer interaction to help establish machinery requirements and determining automated processes
  • Design and manage complete machine assemblies while maintaining company design procedures
  • Delivering design presentations with both internal and customer teams to ensure all requirements are satisfied
  • Tracking design progress of multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, and ensuring design consistency
  • Creation of documentation for the machine build process
  • Interaction and cooperation with other departments. (Machining, Welding, Purchasing, Assembly)
