Emergency Technician •Full Time / Variable •

Overview

The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained. The ED Tech must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver responsible for quality of their own work and remain flexible in response to changes. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, have strong problem solving skills, and possess the ability to act quickly in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

Assist with delivery of patient care under RN direction. Perform technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks and procedures as trained. Participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver. Maintain quality of own work and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate problem solving abilities and the ability to act quickly in emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire : Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
• Upon hire : Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License Or
• Upon hire : Washington Nursing Assistant Registered
• Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Computer experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
