Gastroenterologist Locums Job in Southern Illinois Seeking Clinic / Procedures + 24-Hour Call Coverage

Dates of coverage needed :

• 7am December 2 7am December 16
• 7am December 30 7am January 13, 2025
• Seeking 2 weeks per month of coverage ongoing

Scheduling need :

Seeking coverage starting in early December 2024 & ongoing through 2025

Needing Clinic / Surgery day coverage from 8A-5P Monday through Friday + night / weekend call coverage

Call coverage is 1 : 3

Seeking 7-10 days / month

Description / Requirements for Assignment :

Active Illinois license & CSR required for immediate dates starting in December + onward

Active Board Certification required (or true Eligibility)

COVID vaccination card required for privileges

Daily duties will consist of Monday - Friday clinic and / or outpatient scope days + night and weekend call coverage

Average daily patient volume for a clinic and / or scope day followed by call : 18-25 PPD during the week

Night + weekend call coverage is generally low volume, 4-5 patients / day

Practice mix with clinic patients VS procedures : 25 / 75

Bread & Butter GI + ERCP is strongly preferred

Support staff : 1 mid-level, 2 clinical staff, 1 med office assistant, facility has 1 other GI on staff presently

Hospitalist team admits new ED patients

Olympus equipment used for scopes

Facility detail : 90+ bed facility, EMR : Epic for ambulatory +_inpatient, not a designated trauma center, regional airport located 5 minutes from facility
