Credit Analyst
Castleton Commodities International is hiring a Credit Analyst that will have primary coverage of US Natural Gas, based in our Houston, TX or Stamford, CT office. Credit Analyst's primary responsibilities include managing a portfolio of counterparties, responding to front office trade requests, providing recommendations, monitoring daily exposure, maintaining data integrity in the credit system, and addressing ad hoc data requests. This position requires regular interaction with traders, schedulers, legal and risk.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed counterparty credit reviews utilizing financial statements, market data and relevant industry news. Identify key credit risks and recommend counterparty limits and credit terms for new and existing counterparties.
- Monitor trading exposure to ensure adherence to credit limits and resolve excesses by calling for collateral when appropriate.
- Act as a daily point of contact for front, middle, and back-office functions of the organization for credit related inquiries.
- Assist credit managers with covering portfolios, preparing data, and spreading financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with the company's credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance of the counterparty database in the credit system.
- Build and prepare reports for Credit team and senior management on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
Qualifications :
A minimum of 2 years' of credit or equivalent industry experience working for a producer, utility, merchant trader, or other relevant player in the oil & gas space is preferred.Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred.Advanced Excel skills to build reports and retrieve data across various systems a plus.Strong team player with ability to work collaboratively with the Trading, Risk Management, Operations, and Finance Departments.Strong business acumen and excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills.Ability to quickly and concisely summarize numerical data and communicate effectively.Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced trading culture.Employee Programs & Benefits :
