Technical Recruiter
We're hiring a Technical Recruiter who will own the full hiring lifecycle for engineering positions at Ascend. You'll partner closely with hiring managers, execute data-driven top-of-funnel strategy, refine our process, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and loves building repeatable, data-driven recruiting systems.
First 30 Days Learn, Calibrate, Build Foundation
- Ramp on our business, product, engineering org, and technical stack
- Meet with hiring managers to align on role requirements, scorecards, and interview plans
- Learn our recruiting tools, workflows, and ATS (e.g., Greenhouse)
- Begin sourcing on active roles
60 Days Own Pipelines + Improve Process
Fully manage end-to-end pipelines for engineering rolesBuild consistent outbound sourcing motionIncrease qualified top-of-funnel volume through sourcing and referralsPartner with hiring managers on interview feedback, calibration, and decision-makingContribute recurring reporting on funnel metrics and key insights (speed, quality, etc.)90 Days Operate Independently + Optimize & Scale
Own 100% of full-cycle recruiting for technical roles with minimal guidanceDeliver consistent, predictable candidate pipelines aligned to monthly hiring targetsExperiment with new sourcing strategies, AI tools, or niche technical communitiesIdentify and execute process improvements across outreach, pass-through rates, time-to-hire, and interview structureYou Might Be A Good Fit If You Are / Have
3+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in-houseProven success hiring software engineers and technical roles across full-stack, backend, frontend, data, or infrastructureStrong sourcing background, including advanced Boolean search and market researchExcellent communication and ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsComfort navigating ambiguous or fast-changing hiring needsFamiliarity with Greenhouse ATS, and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, JuiceboxA data-driven mindset and comfort reporting on funnel metricsBase Salary : $90k - $110k annually
