Overview
Cannon Companies is seeking an experienced and motivated Telecom Foreman to lead our utility construction crews. In this role, you'll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution while setting the standard for professionalism in the field. You'll oversee daily operations, coordinate with clients and project managers, and guide your crew to deliver top-tier telecommunications infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews on underground and aerial telecom construction projects.
- Enforce and model strict adherence to safety procedures; conduct daily tailboard and job hazard analysis meetings.
- Maintain clear communication with project managers, inspectors, and client representatives.
- Verify underground utility locates and marking accuracy prior to excavation.
- Oversee conduit installation, fiber placement, and splicing with quality assurance checks.
- Ensure proper restoration and cleanup of all work sites to meet client and municipal standards.
- Plan and stage equipment, materials, and personnel for maximum productivity.
- Maintain accurate redlines / as-builts for all installed plant.
- Document and report production metrics, safety observations, and incidents daily.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork , and continuous improvement within the crew.
Qualifications
Experience : 3–5 years as a Foreman in telecommunications or utility construction.Skills : Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.Licenses : Valid CDL-A driver's license.Requirements : Must pass a drug test and background check.Benefits
