Sr. Procurement Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and supply chain industry, is seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a Sr. Procurement Specialist, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proactive problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Procurement Specialist

Location: Alameda, CA

Pay Range: $40/hr

What's the Job?

• Execute purchasing and supply management strategies in collaboration with Category Managers.
• Manage purchase order approvals up to $1,000,000 and support PO conversion processes.
• Lead complex RFPs and small projects, providing expert advice and direction.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, fostering supplier relationships and driving cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and improve procurement processes.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Financial, or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of procurement experience with a strong understanding of category management and project management skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet programs and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CPM certification is desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience in supplier relationship management, contracting, and financial benchmarking is a plus.
