10-4 Logistics USA is seeking a Local Hazmat CDL Truck Driver for drop-and-hook operations. This position offers predictable weekday schedules, competitive weekly pay, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates should be safety-focused, professional, and able to handle hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Schedule : Primary schedule Monday–Friday (AM or PM shifts). Local rotation with alternating weeks : one week with three overnight layovers and the following week with two overnight layovers.
- Compensation : $1,600–$1,700 per week. $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Operations : Drop-and-hook only; local operations based from Sheridan, WY. Work involves dedicated line-haul and trailer exchanges with minimal freight handling.
- Equipment : Operate company tractors and trailers; late-model equipment and automatic transmissions are provided as available.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in full compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and applicable hazardous materials rules (including placarding, securement, and handling of HAZMAT loads).Perform drop-and-hook trailer exchanges, ensuring trailers are properly secured and all required documentation accompanies the load.Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections; report and document defects or maintenance needs promptly.Maintain accurate driving records, including ELD logs and any HAZMAT shipping papers or manifests required for transport.Communicate professionally and clearly with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules, issues, and deliveries.Report accidents, incidents, delays, or safety / compliance concerns immediately and cooperate with investigations and corrective actions.Represent the company professionally while on duty and maintain appropriate appearance and conduct when interacting with customers and the public.Minimum qualifications
Valid Class A CDL (CDL‑A).Current U.S. Hazmat endorsement (H) on CDL.Minimum of 12 months recent tractor‑trailer experience.Minimum age : 21 years.Ability to meet DOT medical requirements and to pass required pre‑employment and periodic drug and alcohol screenings.Proficiency in English sufficient for safe vehicle operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers.Demonstrated commitment to safe driving and regulatory compliance.Preferred attributes
Experience with drop-and-hook operations and local / regional HAZMAT routes.Strong time-management skills and reliability for scheduled shifts and layovers.About 10-4 Logistics USA
