Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Springfield, MA 01199 (Western Massachusetts healthcare jobs)

Setting : OB unit (Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Obstetrics RN, Postpartum Nurse)

Unit Size : 13 beds

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 during labor and delivery, 3 : 1 for couplet care

Monthly Deliveries : Approximately 40

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Estimated Weekly Salary

Estimated Weekly Pay Range : $2310 - $2470 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Current and active RN license (Massachusetts RN license preferred)

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Labor & Delivery RN and postpartum couplet care nurse

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver expert nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns

Perform antepartum triage and monitor maternal and fetal well-being

Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital and nursing protocols
